First Snowfall

"The blustery winds Sunday will cross the open water of the Great Lakes, sparking an outbreak of lake-effect snow showers and snow squalls in the usual snow belt regions downwind of the lakes. Areas of upstate New York and throughout the Hudson Valley to the foot of New York harbor could receive up to 1-3 inches of lake-effect snow."

That was Dad's forecast to Mom for the morning of my first snow storm. Immediately following breakfast, and just after Larisa arrived, the snow started to fall. The idea was hatched that everyone should get me all gussied up and go for a walk to Starbucks. I'd be sure to love it, what could go wrong?
